Release: GNS3 Beta.0.6 Win32 UNOFFICIAL Release By GNS3-Labs – A Gift :-)

Hello ..

I will release to you guys the latest BETA-0.6 from the GNS3 Team. This is NOT officially released by GNS3, but there are no limitations to release this either.

There aren’t too many changes on the front-end with the exception of the option to show interfaces in the network topology, which is really helpful.

I’m working on a changelog and as soon as I get it i will provide it here.

    Here goes some more of an unofficial chagelog :)

    - Rectangle and ellipse drawing support.
    - You can change the style (size, orientation, color etc.) of the annotations as well as rectangles and ellipses.
    - An integrated simulated host based on a small TCP/IP stack (LWIP).
    - A snapshot feature.
    - Lot of bug fixes.
    - Some improvements.

    I like the new release but I still wish we could get some cisco switches in the mix.

    Just to make sure, You’re aware that you can emulate a switch in GNS3 using the NM-16ESW module right?

    Yes I am aware of the NM-16ESW module but it doesn’t support all the functionalities of catalyst switch

    Yea, Well I’d love to see ASIC of Cisco switches solved, but I dont know..

    is GNS3 support 2600XM Router IOS??

    i have Cisco IOS – c2600-ipvoice-mz.123-8.T3 but GNS3 make error..
    plz tel me any ipvoice IOS support GNS3..

    Hey Khalid .. There are known issues with the 2600 routers. Seems some have success and others don’t. Try another router..

    Sidacoq it works, just seems that you have a issue which just needs to be resolved.. Keep working on it.

    I have GNS30.5-all in-one installed in my computer. How will I install the GNS3 Beta 0.6 Win32 ? Will I have to just install the GNS3 Beta.0.6 Win32 in my computer ? OR I have to uninstall the GNS3 0.5 first ? Where I get the complete INSTALLATION GUIDE for this new GNS3 Beta 0.6 Win32 ?

    Hi Saha you dont need to uninstall the older version. It will upgrade it for you :)
